AIR Raises $50M for AI Agent Security
AIR raised $50M to help companies discover and vet AI agents, tools and add-ons.

AI agents are becoming a new enterprise software supply chain — and that supply chain needs security controls.
What happened
AIR raised $50M across two seed rounds. The first $10M round was led by Sequoia, while the second $40M round was led by Greenoaks.
The startup helps companies identify AI agents running across their environments and vet the tools, skills and add-ons those agents use.
Why it matters
Companies are beginning to connect agents to email, documents, internal tools, customer systems and third-party extensions. That creates a risk surface that looks different from traditional SaaS permissions.
The important question is not only whether an agent works. It is what the agent can access, what it can trigger and whether the external tools attached to it are safe.
The bigger picture
As MCP servers, plug-ins and agentic workflows spread, security teams will need visibility into the agent layer. AIR’s funding shows that the market is already forming around agent inventory, tool verification and runtime control.
