AGCO signs deal to pilot Digit robots in Kansas
AGCO and Agility Robotics signed a commercial agreement for a Digit humanoid pilot expected to begin in Kansas in 2027.

AGCO and Agility Robotics have signed a commercial agreement to test Digit humanoid robots in agricultural-equipment manufacturing.
What happened
The pilot is expected to begin in 2027 at AGCO's factory in Hesston, Kansas. Digit will initially support parts sorting and stacking and place totes into storage.
The work is intended to target repetitive and physically demanding activities in a factory designed around human workers. It remains a planned pilot rather than a completed site-wide deployment.
Why it matters
Humanoid robots are designed to work in existing facilities without requiring every process to be rebuilt around fixed automation. A named customer, location and initial task set make this a more concrete commercial test than a general demonstration.
The bigger picture
Industrial humanoids are moving from laboratories into narrowly defined workplace pilots. Their progress will depend on reliability, safety and measurable operating value rather than the breadth of staged demonstrations.
