Abby Care Raises $82M to Expand Family-Caregiver Healthcare
Abby Care has raised an $82 million Series C to expand a model that trains and pays family members caring for medically complex children.

What happened
Abby Care has raised $82 million in a Series C led by Transformation Capital. CVS Health Ventures, Frist Cressey Ventures and Pivotal Ventures joined as new investors, alongside existing backers including Khosla Ventures, Thrive Capital and Sequoia Capital.
The company works with Medicaid programs to train family members as certified paid caregivers, while providing clinical oversight and visibility for health plans.
Why it matters
Families caring for medically complex children often perform essential work without consistent training, compensation or support. Formalizing that care can improve continuity for patients while giving insurers a clearer view of outcomes and costs.
The bigger picture
Abby Care plans to use the funding to expand geographically and deepen insurer partnerships. Its growth will depend on reimbursement policy, caregiver quality standards and evidence that the model improves care while controlling costs.
