Munich-based 5U AI raised a $3.2M pre-seed round to build AI-powered digital workers for freight forwarding teams. The company is focused on operational workflows such as quoting, bookings, shipment tracking, invoice reconciliation and routine administrative work.
These are not glamorous tasks, but they are the backbone of freight operations. Forwarders deal with emails, documents, rates, exceptions, delays and customer updates across many systems. A lot of that work still depends on manual coordination.
Why it matters
This is a cleaner AI-workflow story than a generic chatbot pitch. 5U AI is not trying to sell vague productivity. It is targeting a specific vertical where the work is repetitive, document-heavy and expensive when mistakes happen.
